Beef stew with carrots and potatoes

Ok, beef stew… Bake the beef brown to all sides, add a dash of brown beer (here I used Leffe Dark) and let simmer for 5 minutes. In another pan, braise the onions. add the beef and beer and pour in the rest of the bottle of the beer.

Clean the mushrooms, season them with pepper and bake them in butter. When ready, add to the beef. Also add the beef stock and a slice of white bread with mustard. Ad some herbs (pepper, salt) and a piece of dark chocolate. Let simmer for at least one hour. I prepared this a day ahead so the flavours could spread in the dish.

Clean the carrots, potatoes and onions and cut in small dices. cook untill ready. Heat the stew and serve together. Enjoy!
