Who is The Clansman?

Born in 1972, I grew up to become a software developer. Since secundary education up to College, I prepared myself for the IT business. This doesn’t always leave much free time to do what I like… for instance: Cooking.

In 2004, I moved to an apartment to be a little more independent. So I had to do my own cooking. Well I didn’t really have to but I did anyways. At first it was just daily things, but after a while it got a little more sophisticated.

In 2008, I took another job opportunity which resulted in even less free time, so I basicly spend all Sunday cooking stuff and meal prepping for the next days. Sunday was also the day I usually made something “special”. Sometimes it took a whole day to cook three or four dishes.

In 2020, here in Belgium we had our share in the worldwide outbreak of Covid-19, a contagious desease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus that first emerged in Wuhan, China in 2019. It arrived in Belgium on Februari 4th, 2020. Things evolved here so by half march we would be in a lockdown to “flatten the curve” to relieve the pressure on hospitals and health care. On March 18th, non-essential travel was prohibited so I executed the plan, I was already thinking about for quite some time, creating a website about cooking.
